The Other British Museum
I have a new favourite Instagram account and it’s The Other British Museum. I’m obsessed.
These witty Reels tell the stories behind national icons like Viennetta, Mr Kipling and Chocolate Digestive biscuits. Yes, those are all foodstuffs which says more about me than the Instagram account which also covers the history of Lollipop Ladies and the Now That’s What I Call Music compilation series.
In many respects The Other British Museum succeeds where traditional museums have failed online. The Other British Museum is lightly funny, contemporary and nostalgic plus it’s just really good social content.
