Tangram to help shape the next chapter of Charleston in Lewes
We're delighted to be working with Charleston as it enters the next phase of its plans for Charleston in Lewes made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players.
Tangram will lead the development of the Activity Plan for the project's National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported Development Phase, helping shape how people engage with the site, its collections and its programmes in the years ahead.
Since opening as a pilot in 2023, Charleston in Lewes has demonstrated the potential of a town-centre cultural space that connects people with art, heritage and bold ideas. The project will transform the site into a permanent cultural centre, home to Charleston’s internationally significant collections, new learning and community spaces and the UK's only permanent Bloomsbury gallery outside London in partnership with Tate, V&A and National Portrait Gallery.
We're looking forward to working with the Charleston team, local communities and project partners to develop an ambitious, inclusive and sustainable programme that broadens access and deepens participation, ensuring more people connect with this extraordinary collection and its stories.
